Med spa reels have a reputation problem. 🎬
Everyone assumes they require good lighting, a tripod, trending audio research, and forty minutes you absolutely do not have between clients.
Soooo lets dive in…..when was the last time you posted a reel?
That’s exactly why today’s post comes with shot lists. Film them between appointments, post them raw, and watch what happens.
Reel One: The “Things I’d Never Do” List
This one performs every single time, because opinions travel further than facts. 💉
Shot list:
- You, on camera, no filter needed
- Text on screen: “3 things I’d never do as an injector”
- Count them on your fingers as you say them
Your hook: “Nobody asked, but here are 3 things I’d never do to my own face.”
Caption to steal:
“Saying the quiet part out loud. Save this before your next appointment anywhere. Questions? My DMs are open.”
Total film time: 45 seconds. Total value: enormous.
Reel Two: The Satisfying Prep
Your treatment room reset is quietly mesmerizing to people who’ve never seen one. ✨
Shot list:
- Fresh towels going down
- Tools lining up
- Product pumps, steam, or a mask swirl
- One wide shot of the finished room
Add calm audio, skip talking entirely, and let text on screen say “POV: you’re my next appointment.”
Because ASMR energy keeps people watching, and watch time is what the algorithm rewards.
Reel Three: The Myth Correction
Med spa reels built on myths get shared into group chats, which is free reach. 🙅♀️
Fill in the blank script:
“Myth: [common belief your clients repeat]. Truth: [what’s actually happening]. What I’d do instead: [your real recommendation].”
For example: “Myth: botox will freeze your face. Truth: overtreatment does that, not botox itself. What I’d do instead: start conservative and adjust at your two week follow up.”
Fifteen seconds, one take. For keeping the tone friendly rather than lecture-y, read How to Educate Clients on Instagram Without Sounding Salesy.
Reel Four: The Local Day in the Life
Here’s your local SEO reel, disguised as personality content. 📍
Shot list:
- Morning coffee (name the local shop)
- Walking into your space
- A quick treatment clip
- Your drive home or your favorite local spot
Caption to steal:
“A Tuesday in [Your City]. Coffee from [local shop], three lip appointments, and one very good playlist. Come see us.”
Notice how naturally your city lands there? That’s the whole trick. How to Get More Local MedSpa Clients on Instagram explains why it works so well.
Reel Five: The Question Answered
Pull one real question from your DMs and answer it on camera. 💬
Your hook: “Someone asked me this yesterday and I think everyone’s wondering.”
That opener works because it feels like eavesdropping. So people stay.
Bonus tangible: keep a running note in your phone called “reel bank.” Every time a client asks something twice, add it. Now you’ll never wonder what to film again.
Your 60 Second Challenge
Pick one. Just one. ⏱️
Set a timer, film it before your next client, and post it unedited. Nobody is scrutinizing your production quality. They’re deciding whether they like you.
Which one are you filming first? The myth one is the easiest place to start.
Steal Our Hooks Too
Great reels die with weak first lines. 👀
