Med spa consultations have a leak, and it’s usually in the DMs. 📲
Someone asks about pricing. You answer. They say “thank you so much!”
Then nothing. Forever.
That exchange happens hundreds of times a year in most practices, and each one represents a client who was genuinely interested. So today we’re plugging that leak with scripts you can use immediately.
Never End on an Answer
Here’s the fix that changes everything. 🔄
Every answer should end with a next step. Otherwise, the conversation politely dies.
Instead of: “Lip filler starts at $650!”
Try: “Lip filler starts at $650, and that usually covers exactly what most first timers need. Are you thinking subtle or a bigger change? I can tell you what I’d recommend.”
That question keeps the door open. Better yet, it moves toward med spa consultations naturally.
Offer the Low Pressure Version
“Book now” is a big ask for someone still deciding. 🫶
Copy this:
“No pressure at all, but consultations are free and there’s zero obligation. You can come in, get real answers, and go home and think about it. Want me to grab you a spot?”
Because most hesitation isn’t about money. Rather, it’s about fear of being sold to.
Follow Up Once, Warmly
Nobody does this, and it works constantly. ⏰
Three days after an unanswered conversation, send one gentle message:
“Hey! Just circling back in case you had more questions. Totally fine if the timing isn’t right, I just didn’t want you to feel forgotten.”
One follow up. Never more. That single message recovers a surprising number of med spa consultations.
How to Turn Instagram Conversations Into Paying Clients has the full conversation framework.
Make Your Content Do the Warming Up
Consultations convert better when people already trust you. ✨
So post content that answers questions before they’re asked:
- What a consultation actually includes
- Why you sometimes recommend less
- How you handle nervous first timers
- What happens if someone changes their mind
Every one of those posts makes the DM conversation shorter and easier.
Track What’s Actually Happening
Here’s your tangible for the week. 📋
Keep a simple note this week: how many people asked about pricing, and how many booked.
That number tells you exactly where your leak is. Most practices have never measured it, then feel shocked at the gap.
Local visibility feeds this pipeline too, so How to Get More Local MedSpa Clients on Instagram is worth pairing with this.
Try the Follow Up This Week
Med spa consultations grow when you end with a question, remove the pressure, follow up once, and warm people up with content. 🙌
Go back through last week’s DMs and send that follow up message to three people who went quiet.
Report back. It usually surprises people how well it works.
Scripts and Content, Already Written
Consultation content, DM scripts, and captions shouldn’t be one more thing on your list. 😌
