Halloween makeup wrecks more skin than any other night of the year. 🧛♀️
Face paint sits for eight hours. Glue gets peeled off. Nobody double cleanses at 2am.
Then your DMs fill up on November 1st.
So get ahead of it with this post.
What Actually Damages Skin
Costume makeup isn’t formulated like regular makeup.
It’s heavier, more occlusive, and often full of dyes that irritate sensitive skin.
Add adhesive, glitter, and a long night, and you get clogged pores, contact dermatitis, and barrier damage all at once.
The Halloween Makeup Prep Post
Tell them what to do before.
Moisturize first so the makeup sits on a barrier instead of in pores. Patch test adhesive 24 hours ahead. Skip actives the night before.
Simple, useful, and extremely save-worthy.

The Removal Post Matters More
This is the one that gets shared.
Oil cleanse first, then a gentle second cleanse. Never peel adhesive dry. Skip the scrub even though they’ll want one.
Then barrier repair, not actives, for two days after.
The November 1st Follow-Up
Post a “what to do if you woke up broken out” piece the morning after.
Timely, genuinely helpful, and it books appointments from people who need real help.
Dermatology practices especially should own this. Grab seasonal angles in Dermatology Content Ideas for Dry Skin Season.
Write the Removal Post First
Halloween makeup content works because the problem is predictable and nobody else is warning them.
Post prep by October 28th. Removal by the 30th. Recovery on November 1st.
