The holiday season has a way of showing up FAST. 🎄
One minute you’re posting fall treatments and pumpkin peel content… and the next, it’s mid-December and you realize you still haven’t talked about gift cards, holiday appointments, or your seasonal offers.
A little planning now can save you from a whole lot of scrambling later.
Here’s a simple holiday social media plan for med spas and aesthetic practices that keeps your content organized without making December feel like another full-time job.
Step One: Put Your Important Dates on the Calendar
Before you start creating anything, pull out your November and December calendar and mark the dates that actually matter for your practice.
Think:
- Black Friday
- Small Business Saturday
- Cyber Monday
- Your holiday promotion dates
- Your last appointment day before Christmas
- Gift card purchase deadlines
- Holiday closures or adjusted hours
- New Year’s booking pushes
These become your content anchors.
Once those dates are in place, it’s much easier to see what needs to be promoted, when you should start talking about it, and where you have room for your regular educational and treatment content.
Step Two: Give Each Week a Focus
You do not need to promote everything, every day, all month long. 😂
Instead, give each week one main focus.
One week might tease your holiday offer. The next could focus on launching it. Another week could be all about gift cards, and your final week might highlight last-minute appointments, holiday hours, or behind-the-scenes content from your busiest days.
This keeps your feed from feeling repetitive while still making sure people actually see what you’re offering.

Step Three: Batch as Much as You Can
This is one of those times when future you will be VERY grateful you planned ahead. 🙌
Pick a block of time and prep as much of your holiday content as possible in one sitting.
Customize your graphics. Write your captions. Choose your photos. Schedule the posts you already know you’ll need.
Even getting a few posts finished ahead of time means you’re not trying to design a Black Friday graphic between patients or write a gift card caption at 9 PM.
Step Four: Have Fun With Your stories
Your feed can handle the polished holiday content. Your stories are where you can loosen up a little. ✨
Use countdowns for promotions, share quick gift ideas, post “this or that” polls, show holiday packages being prepared, or ask followers what treatment is on their wish list.
You can also use stories to remind people about appointment availability, gift cards, and deadlines without making your main feed feel overly promotional.

Step Five: Don’t Try to Post Every Day
December is busy enough without adding “post on Instagram every single day” to your list.
You really don’t need to.
Choose the posts that matter most, schedule what you can ahead of time, and give yourself permission to leave some space in your calendar.
Consistency doesn’t mean being online constantly. It means creating a rhythm you can actually keep up with — even during your busiest season.
We talk more about that in Why Aesthetic Practices Struggle to Post Consistently.
Make Your Holiday Social Media Plan Even Easier
The easiest holiday content plan is the one you don’t have to build completely from scratch.
Inside the Vaults, you’ll find seasonal and holiday templates created specifically for aesthetic businesses, so you can customize your content, get it scheduled, and head into the holidays with one less thing on your plate. 🎁
Ideally? Get the bulk of it handled before Thanksgiving and let December be about your patients, your team, and actually enjoying the season too.
