This is the exact question I get all the time:
“Where do I even begin with Instagram?”
Whether you’re a nurse injector, esthetician, or just starting your MedSpa brand… it can feel overwhelming at first.
So instead of overthinking it, here’s exactly what I would do if I were starting from scratch today.
Nothing complicated. Just what actually works.
1. Start with your Instagram bio
Before you post anything, fix your bio.
Because this is the first thing people see when they land on your page, and it decides whether they stay or leave.
Your bio should quickly tell someone:
- what you do
- who you help
- and what to do next
If it’s unclear, people won’t take the next step.
If you haven’t set this up yet, start here:
👉 Your Medspa Bio That Converts
That alone will make a bigger difference than you think.
2. Just start posting (and don’t disappear)
This is where most people get stuck.
They wait until everything feels perfect… and then they don’t post at all.
Or they post for a few days, disappear for a week, and start over again.
That’s what slows growth.
You don’t need perfect content, you need consistent content.
Start simple:
- talk to camera
- explain a treatment
- answer a question
- share a quick before + after
That’s enough to get going.
3. Show up and engage
Posting is only part of it.
The other half is actually showing up.
Comment on posts. Respond to messages. Be active in your space.
This is how people start to notice you.
This is how potential clients find you.
And honestly, it’s the part most people skip.
Where most new MedSpa accounts go wrong
They overthink everything.
They try to do too much at once.
Or they wait too long to start.
You don’t need a perfect strategy right away.
You just need to start, stay consistent, and adjust as you go.
If you want this to feel easier
You can figure this out as you go…
Or you can follow something that’s already laid out.
If you want a simple starting point, I put together free templates you can use:

If you want help building this the right way
At some point, it’s not about starting, it’s about staying consistent.

Final thought
If you’re starting from zero, don’t overcomplicate it.
Fix your bio.
Start posting.
Show up consistently.
That’s it.
Everything else comes after that.
And if you have questions
Seriously, just ask.
Drop them in the comments or send a message.
Always here to help 🤍
